Dr. Manuel T. Corpus, AACCUP’s executive director, bared the accrediting agency’s progress as it plans to move towards giving institutional accreditation, and not just that for programs alone. He invited MUST to be one of the first schools nationwide to be given with such accreditation. He recalled the early visits he made to the university, and noted that each time he came, great changes and improvement had been made. He said AACCUP has been a proud partner of MUST since 1998.
“Before, I thought I was the only one passionate with accreditation,” he said. “From what we call in the beginning as selling the ideology, people are now becoming also passionate with it.”
“With the new development in PASUC where technology people infuse new minds, AACCUP also has been open to these changes,” he added. One good thing he would like to confirm is showing that there is indeed a direct relationship between
accreditation and performance in board examinations, as was already shown in Nursing programs.
